Fees for TherapEmail
Other counselling sites sometimes charge a fee for each e-mail sent to their clients, regardless of how much time the counsellor spends writing a reply. In contrast, we charge by the hour of counsellor time. When you bare your soul to a professional counsellor, you deserve to be treated with the utmost care and honour. In order to deeply connect with you, understand you, and write a carefully worded therapeutic reply, we feel it is necessary to give you a full hour of our undivided attention.
Our fees are $85.00 (Canadian) per hour of counsellor time given to reading and responding to your TherapEmailTM. (This hour includes a 10 minute allowance for your counsellor to deal with administrative matters.) This is enough time for your counsellor to read your TherapEmail and reply deeply and thoughtfully to your concerns.
Please note that we will assume that you want us to devote a full hour of counselling time to your response unless you ask for less time, or more time, in half hour increments.
Your fees may be covered by your employee assistance plan, if you have one. If you contact your employee assistance representative and find that our services are not covered, please contact us.
To give you a price comparison, the going rate for face-to-face counselling is in the range of $60.00 to $120.00 (CAN) or more per 50 minute session.
Payment is by PayPal, which means we can accept most credit cards.
