Meet the Counsellors
Dawn Schell, MA Dawn Schell earned her Master of Arts in Counselling from Simon Fraser University in 1987 and has been a practicing counsellor since then. Dawn has worked for a variety of not-for-profit agencies with people from all ages and stages of life. Her expertise includes trauma recovery, all aspects of career/job concerns (from first job on to retirement) and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator™. |
Susan O'Quinn, MSW, RSW Susan O'Quinn obtained her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto in 2003. She also has extensive training and experience in child development. She joined Therapy Online’s team in 2006 after completing Cybercounselling Levels I & II. Susan's areas of expertise include early child development, special needs parenting and attachment parenting. |
Mary MacDougall, MSW, RSW Mary MacDougall earned her Master degree in Psychiatric Social Work in 1967 from Smith College, USA. An Instructor for the Cybercounsellor Certification program offered jointly by Therapy Online and the University of Toronto, she has been an online counsellor since 1999. Mary was awarded the Queens Jubilee Medal for her work with Family Service organizations. Her areas of expertise include: family issues, relationships, life transitions and workplace stress. |
Sue Allen, BSW, RSW Sue Allen has been working in the counseling field since 1990. She has worked in a vareity of capacities and has particular experitise working with the deaf community. Her experiences ranges from work in addictions to delivering training in Narrative Therapy. She received her Cybercousnellign certificate in 2014 and has been a counsellor and instructor with Therapy Online since 2015. |
Peter Snow, MSW, RSM Peter Snow earned his MSW from the University of Toronto in 2012. He has worked in adult day treatment, psychiatric services and with a variety of clinical population including men who have committed intimate partner violence. He holds a Cybercounselling Certificate from Therapy Online nad has worked with us as a cybercounsellor since 2017. |
Christy Hamill, MSW Christy Hamill received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto in 2006. With Bachelor's degrees in both Social Work and Psychology, she has been practicing since 1996. Christy has extensive experience in the area of mental health and as a child and family therapist. She has a special interest in grief counselling particularly with children and their families. |
Paul Parnass Paul Parnass received his Master of Social Work degree in 1978 from the University of Toronto. Paul has over 25 years of experience working in Employee Assistance Programs. He is an Instructor in the Cybercounsellor Certification program offered jointly by Therapy Online and the University of Toronto. Paul has co-authored a number of articles devoted to the field of Cybercounselling. |
