Cybercounselling Level ICybercounselling - Level I is a twelve-week, three module online course designed for experienced professional counselling practitioners who want to be accessible to their clients via email. The full twelve weeks must be completed in order to be granted Cybercounselling Level I certification. Certificates are issued by Therapy Online. Prerequisites:

Cybercounselling FundamentalsThis engaging two hour in-person workshop will provide participants an introduction to the practical, ethical, and technical challenges inherent in online counselling. Handouts will include a recent peer-reviewed publication from Therapy Online's Research Institute. Cybercounselling Level IICybercounselling - Level II is a twelve-week, three-module online course designed for counselling practitioners who have completed Cybercounselling Level I and want to deepen and refine their cybercounselling expertise. Upon competion of Level II, participants are issued certificates by Therapy Online. Prerequisite:

Introduction to Cybercounselling (full-day)This engaging full-day in-person workshop will give participants a solid understanding of the technical, ethical, and practical issues involved in doing online counselling. Foundations of CybercounsellingOffered in collaboration with the University of Toronto School of Continuning Studies, this eight-week online course covers theories and research in online counselling as well as introduces participants to some of the practical aspects of doing counselling online. We look at the various modalities of online counselling including e-mail counselling, video counselling, real-time chat and website or bulletin-board based approaches. We also explore work being done with individuals, couples, families and groups online. |
